Infant – 2 years
If you are planning on attending an upcoming service here at FBCD and you have a child from 0 to 2 we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your baby to the First Baptist Church Dandridge Nursery! We want every family and baby to have a wonderful nursery experience and to enjoy their time worshipping the Lord here at FBCD. Below is some helpful information regarding our nursery that we hope will answer any of your questions, but feel free to contact us if any question goes unanswered.
NURSERY HOURS OF AVAILABILITY
Sunday 9:15am – 11:45am
Wednesday 5:30pm – 7:15pm
ENVIRONMENT
The Nursery is often the first impression a family has of our church. We want your baby’s first experience to be warm and meaningful. So, we provide a safe and clean environment. Each bed and toy are cleaned and sanitized every week. We try to meet the needs of each baby by dividing the children by age groups.
ILLNESS
For the safety of all our little ones, we do ask that you do not bring your child to the Nursery if he/she is sick. Remember, other children will be present, and they may become infected as well. Some signs of illness in a child are: unusual fatigue or irritability, coughing, runny nose or eyes, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, inflamed mouth and throat, unusual drowsiness, or hoarseness. You may bring your child with you to service, and we have crying rooms located to the rear of the main sanctuary.
ALERT SYSTEM
For the well-being of our babies (and parents) FBCD offers a pager alert system. For babies ages 0-24 month’s old, and older children if needed, you will be given a pager so we can alert you if your child needs assistance. We will not let your child be unduly sad or uncomfortable in the nursery. If he or she has been crying and continues to be upset for 10 minutes, we will page you. When a pager is assigned to you, your child will be identified with that pager number. No one will be allowed to pick up your baby without presenting this pager to the nursery staff. This is for the protection of your child.
NURSERY LOCATION
Upon approaching the Main Entrance into the Welcome Center, the nursery location will be immediately to your right. If you are unsure, fret not, we have friendly folks at the Welcome Center and walking the campus to assist you.
