Worship Notes – June 11, 2023
June 10, 2023Psalm 29:3-4
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
Psalm 29, a Psalm of Victory, is a reminder that the majesty and glory of God far exceeds the natural power of the waters of the ocean. No matter the severity of the storm, the Lord’s voice thunders over it, powerful and full of majesty.
In worship, we stand in the presence of an awesome God whose power is indescribable. The best the Psalmist can do is express that His voice is louder than the sound of a stormy ocean. Our God is mighty. He Is powerful. He is holy. Let us worship Him in His mercy, grace, power, might, and holiness — He is like no other.
