Worship Notes

Is Jesus my everything?  Is He your everything?  He’s our only hope of salvation. He is our joy, our righteousness and freedom. By His sacrifice, we have been given everything – adopted and living as sons and daughters of the Great High King.  Truly, I can sing that “all is mine!” through Jesus Christ.

The modern hymn, “Yet Not I, but through Christ in Me,” continues this way:

To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing, "I am free"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

So, I ask again, is Jesus my everything?  Is He all that matters?  Do I live out that truth?  These are the questions that we must answer before we sing such powerful declarations.  Without a doubt, there are times I fall short of that level of faith, but here is my commitment for Sunday.  I will believe in complete faith that my chains have been released.  I will sing with full abandon that I am free, not because of anything that I have done, but simply because of the power of Jesus Christ in me.  Please join me.  Let’s worship together.
